The traditional Bread Day at Hoyer's House begins when baker Aivars Ozols bakes bread loaves in the 17th-century bread oven using natural leaven and according to the best baking traditions.
On Bread Day, everyone can watch the bread-baking process, ask the baker questions, and taste the finished bread. Bread baked in the Hoyer oven will be available for purchase from 13:00.
Juris Lipsnis, a bagpipe enthusiast and one of the few bagpipe masters in Latvia, will take care of the musical atmosphere of the Bread Day in the Hoyer's Pub from 13:00. He started playing the bagpipes in 2014 and later turned to making the instrument.
On Bread Day, everyone is invited to visit the 17th–19th Century Interior Museum exhibitions, allowing themselves to enter the centuries-old past. Everyone is also invited to book a table in the Hoyer's Pub in advance to feast on delicious food and drinks from Madame Hoyer's kitchen on Bread Day. Reservations: 27888008.
Please note that photography and video will be taken during the event. The footage may be used for publicity on the Liepaja Museum of Interiors and Liepaja Museum website and social media accounts.
