THE HISTORY OF THE BUILDING ENSEMBLE
In 1924, the City Council allocated the former building of the 8th Primary School on Alejas (now Čakstes) Square for the museum. Since 1935, the building has been home to the city museum. The building is an excellent example of the eclectic architecture of the early 20th century in Liepāja.
