The bread-baking event has been held at Hoyer’s House since the opening of the Interior Museum. It brings together bread-baking enthusiasts and those who come to buy freshly baked bread and sklandu rauši (carrot-potato tarts in a rye shell) to take away and enjoy the atmosphere of an authentic 17th-century pub with delicious dishes and drinks and lively music, thus reviving historical traditions. One of these traditions is the baking of bread. This time, the bread oven will be lit at around 11:00, and the freshly baked bread will be ready at around 13:00.
From 13:00 to 14:00, the LMADSS accordion duo of Toms Rolavs and Deniss Liekne will perform at the Hoyer’s Pub. Both are students of LMADSS and professional accordionists. They are active in competitions and have proven themselves as laureates of several international competitions. They have performed solo programs in the Czech Republic and Lithuania, winning prizes.
Accompanied by lively music, visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy a delicious lunch at the Hoyer’s Pub, thus enjoying the atmosphere of an authentic historic pub with music, people chatting, and perhaps even dancing. Those interested can reserve a table at the Hoyer’s Pub by calling 27888008.
During the whole day, from 10:00 to 18:00, visitors are invited to explore the Liepāja 17th–19th Century Interior Museum “Madame Hoyer’s Guest House” to learn about both the historical 17th-century interior on the ground floor and the 19th-century apartment of wealthy Liepāja residents on the first floor. The museum’s knowledgeable and helpful storytellers will be happy to answer any questions.
Please note that photography and video filming will occur during the event. The footage may be used for publicity on the Liepāja Interior Museum and Liepāja Museum website and social media accounts.
